The Gold and Silver games turned out to be so popular that GameFreak had to create a remake of the game in the form of Heart Gold and Soul Silver. Luckily Gamefreak stepped up and gave us the best games in the franchise. They came right after the massive success of Pokemon Red and Blue, these games had to be great, or the massive amounts of fans that GameFreak had acquired through the first two games would’ve started to dwindle instantly! The Johto region Pokemon games are considered the best in the entire franchise, and rightfully so.
